| | Day 2 -
last night, jacob and i spent part of the night, listening and hearing our project leader talk to a woman who stumbled upon our sleep base. listening to her troubles and situation, and to hear her pain was immense. Far worse that i have known or heard of or even speculated about for people in Chicago. There is truly a sense of desperation and despair, but the hope of Christ is alive. We spent the day in two Sunday Services seeing how tough but rewarding ministry is our here. At night, we had a cookout and many kids came out to eat and hang out. We played basketball, football, even softball, and all were so welcoming. I even rapped some 2pac for them because they love 90's rap. Yet, they seem real far from opening up to talk, which is ok. Pray that we may continue building relationships and that we can encourage the people here in their walk with Christ. And its real hot, upper 90's. And pray for our boys, for they are stumbled by the girls from the Chinese church from Seattle... jk... (maybe).
